The ultra-scalable blockchain, Tezos, is preparing to partner with English soccer giant, Manchester United, for a multi-year sponsorship worth over $27 million.
Also, the crypto meme, BabyDoge has reached an agreement with TSG Hoffenheim to develop specific NFTs for the Bundesliga club.
Crypto projects continue their assault on the world of football. Not too surprising, when you know the marketing and advertising force that a football club can represent for its projects. Having a Premier League and even Bundesliga team as a brand means giving yourself the opportunity to make yourself known all over the world.
Tezos Offers The Band To Manchester United
Manchester United is about to sign an annual multi-year sponsorship deal, with the PoS blockchain, Tezos. According to what reported The Athletic, the deal would amount to more than 27 million dollars. Which would give the crypto the right to have its logo on Manchester United training equipment.
Until the time of writing this article, there is no note from the two parties to formalize the news. But still according to The Athletic, the partnership could involve deeper collaboration in the blockchain such as the launch of a web 3 or metaverse project.
In fact, this is not the first time that Tezos has entered the sports world. In May 2021, it became the official blockchain partner of RedBull Racing. Through this partnership, she had had her first experience with fan NFTs, developed last November. Tezos has also partnered with the organizer of Formula 1 cycling tournaments, McLaren Racing.
Manchester United will join the list of Premier League pro-crypto clubs. It is recalled that in August 2021, Dogecoin signed a sponsorship contract with Watford for the 2021-2022 season. Other clubs including Manchester City, Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers FC have already had their experiences in the crypto world with the Socios and Bitci by launching fan tokens.
Baby Doge Takes On The Bundesliga
At the same time, the token meme, launched last year, BabyDoge announced that it has reached an agreement with German football club TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. The crypto will work on specific NFTs for the German club.
Reacting to the deal, the chairman of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim said:
TSG Hoffenheim is happy to collaborate with such an innovative and leading brand as Baby Doge. We are excited and look forward to a successful partnership, where we will bring a club NFT collection and other exciting (sic) projects to life.
For Baby Doge project manager Mike Tyson, this partnership will allow crypto to expand in its presence not only in the Eurozone but also globally. He ends up specifying that the meme corner intends to establish other strategic partnerships in the world of sport.
At the time of writing, Tezos price was $3.90, down 0.26% over the past 24 hours. For Baby Doge’s share, its price is valued at $0.000000004054, an increase of 7.60% over the last 24 hours.
